BBQ for work!

We got the morning off on monday for a work BBQ. :)


We ate the chocolate cake that Richard made for my birthday :) We forgot forks so we had to make do with cutting a plastic plate into slices.

It was a nice day! We also got to search a portion of the park for hidden cash. (Adult easter egg hunting :) ) Good times!

Birthday Fun!

Richard made my birthday very special! I woke up to Richard kneeling next to the bed with fresh orange juice. He had prepared a nice breakfast for me with my favorite....poppyseed muffins. We went to church and spent the rest of the day relaxing. He made lasagna for dinner and a double decker cake that we shared with everyone from our office. I am lucky to have such a thoughtful husband!!!

Not Jokin

So the other day Richard called me on his way home. We had both worked a long hard day and he was pretty happy because he had done well :) After telling me about the great people he met he then said "and guess what Rachelle, I love you so much, and I am not even joking this time" We laughed for a little while about how wrong that came out of his mouth. Now it is a joke between us both....."Oh, so you are not joking this time?"

Our trip to Ohio!

After 26 hours of driving we were happy to arrive in Findlay, Ohio. On our way we traveled through Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and then Ohio. Each state was so different. Richard loved the rolling hills, massive amounts of trees and being able to cross the Mississippi :).

Two days after arriving Richard started his first day with Accelerate communications and was the top salesman for the day! He is amazing!!! The weather is hot and humid, the people are super nice and we are enjoying our time.

All That I Wanted :)

The other day we were opening wedding gifts. Mom (Kathy) mentioned that opening wedding gifts is not always as fun for the groom because it is all kitchen stuff and other "girly" things. Richard said (with a cute grin), "Thats ok, I have already got what I wanted". All the girls in the room thought "oh how cute" as they anticipated Richard's next sentence to be "I've got Rachelle" but instead he quickly destroyed our special moment by responding with "I GOT MY TOOL SET!!" I have now moved to number 2 on Richard's list :)

Honeymoon in Hawaii

We honeymooned in Hawaii and had a blast!! Unfortunately there is not enough time to tell all about it because we are off to Ohio for the summer :) Here are just a few pictures of our trip!
